"Cowboy Corral" - A Record Breaking Success!

The Athletic Boosters Annual Dinner/Dance "Cowboy Corral" was a record breaking success! STM supporters put on their boots and jeans and headed on down to the corral for an evening of great grub, complimentary drinks, and live music by Tim Donaldson's "No Secret Band". Emcee Coach Mennig opened the evening with an unforgettable "yeeha", and the STM Cowboys, Cowgirls and Indian hit the trail to support our student athletes by bidding on auction items donated and assembled by STM Parents. Auctioneer Mike Namoff brought a new excitement to this annual event and several guests including John and Candy Rollins, Bryan and Darcy Thomas and John and Lea Comet added an unexpected thrill by donating 12 Illinois Basketball tickets (8 located on the floor) and parking passes. Together STM raised $11,450 in the live auction! Raffle items such as the 2003 Honda Rebel and Nintendo Wii generated lots of enthusiasm, and Evan Coobs brought the house down as he rode off on his Honda Rebel! At the end of the night, over $40,000 was raised for the STM Sabers! The Athletic Program has come a long way in eight years, and this annual event continues to enjoy much success thanks to many generous donors and dedicated volunteers who make it happen. We'll see ya' again next year! Click here for a listing of event donors, committee members and basket coordinators.
