A thought for your Tuesday: “Language is how we dress our thoughts.  Someone with little knowledge of language and literature dresses poorly, while those who are knowledgeable dress well.  Those who know only one language have a single outfit while those who know more than one have an outfit for many occasions.”

All students, Spanish 1 and SHH members, must return all MONEY and PULSERAS to Sra. Stewart by Wednesday at the latest.

PULSERA HOUSE CONTEST:  NOT FOR POINTS but rather a large pan of Sra. Stewart’s DULCE DE LECHE BARS!  To reach our goal, Sra. Stewart is willing to bake for the HOUSE that buys or donates the most money to PULSERA PROJECT starting Tuesday, February 25th and ending Wednesday, the 26th.  The HOUSE with the most money earned will receive her homemade Dulce de leche bars on Thursday to enjoy in HOUSE!  Por favor, help us COLOR THE WORLD and potentially FILL YOUR TUMMY with SOMETHING YUMMY!

Do you cook in the kitchen?  No, really, do you?  We need volunteers to bring in food for the Annual World Cultures Food Fest.  It can be homemade, or store bought.  See Mrs. Quick or fill out the Google Form in the school newsletter.  Food donations are needed by 11:15 am in the cafeteria on Thursday, February 27.

This Friday, February 28, is the International Talen Show during both lunch hours.  The deadline to sign up has been extended.  Please see Mr. Mahoney by Wednesday, February 26 at the latest if you are wishing to perform this Friday at lunch.

Do you want to know who Bob is?  Do you want to join the elite who know all about Bob?  Well, join us in room 214 every Wednesday from 3:00 to 4:00 pm for Art Club.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Thursday, February 27 is Wear Your Heritage Dress Down Day for $5.00 fee for SHH.  Representatives from SHH will collect the money at the beginning of 2nd hour.  Appropriate attire celebrating your heritage or a jersey from the country of your heritage may be worn, as this is a celebration of the cultures represented at our school.  If you have any questions as to what would be appropriate, please see Sra. Quick or Sra. Stewart.

Thursday, February 27 is the highly anticipated annual World Food Fest.  SHH invites you to take a “free trip around the world” as you sample foods from the Americas, Africa, Asia, Oceania, and Europe.  There is still time to sign up to share your favorite international foods.  We couldn’t do this without you.  See Sra. Quick for details.

Are you interested in celebrating cultures around the world?  Join International Club this Friday, February 28 at 7:30 am in room 208 for a Vietnam inspired party!  If you have any questions, email Kaitlynn Ballard or Mr. Paulus.

Join us in the library every Friday after school for Game Club.  Come play Pokémon, Magic the Gathering, Dungeons and Dragons, Chess, UNO, Catan, and other types of games. There will be snacks and drinks provided.  Bring your friends and stay for a little or awhile.

Do you think you could beat Mr. Ray in a riveting game of Ping Pong?  If so, join the Ping Pong Club after school on Fridays.  The matches are held in the hallway outside the cafeteria.
